My choice of Self care

How do you practice self-care?

Every day may not be good, but there is good in everyday life. Self care can mean so many things to all of us.

Selfcare is and always important to each one of us. Self care NEEDS to be intention, tailored to your needs. It can be literally anything you enjoy wholeheartedly and that rejuvenates your soul ❤❤. When your OWN WELLNESS is cultivated and nourished, pouring into another soul’s well is not a taxing task!.

My self care is creating time to be alone, get lost in my thoughts without secondary noises, watching lifetime movies, appreciate nature, hearing the birds, getting my Marykay satin hands applied every night, applying Vaseline on my feet each night and putting in socks, assemble selfcare packages, listening to the radio station KMOJ 89.9, going to the sauna or steam room  or listening to my satellite Sirius XM Music.  All those things I have listed bring satisfaction and joy to my own well-being.

Am intentional when I decide to do them, and when I have neglected my wellness, my body cues remind me that I am out of time, literally running on empty.  Signs I get include body aches, and my mind is exhausted, fatigue that I am not able to shake it off with just a good sleep. The other day, I was listening to someone in the sauna who was sharing how the sauna would quiet down. I can attest that both the sauna and stem room calm the body in a unique way without reaching out for the painkillers. From experiences, some takeaways and benefits of the sauna include detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress managementand overall relaxation 😌.
For the social butterflies and/or the ones who emerge into others’ journeys, it is another networking and/or storytelling forum!.
Time will always be a valuable resource. When invested, it makes the person goal or activity even more important. Sometimes, we hold on to the past and to the irrelevant goals just because we already spent too much time on them!. Do what brings utmost joy and not short-lived happiness 😊.

Nathaniel Hawathorne once said-Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind.
Much Love ❤️
