Colossians 3:21
“Parents, don’t provoke your children in a way that ends up discouraging them.” Children may be innocent and wonderful, but they’re also impressionable, so be the hope and love they need in this world.
Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord”.
Proverbs 29:17
“Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad.”
One of the most quoted verses about parenting is found in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”
Isaiah 54:13
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
Parents who really love their kids will discipline them, as God does with us (Hebrews 12:7). Not harshly, but gently with the goal of leading them in the ways of the Lord. Done this way, they’ll become adults that fulfill all the Creator intends for them to become.
When we plant seeds🪴 🌱 and train our children, other children, and community children, we prepare a healthy generation for the life to come. We do it out of love and remain hopeful our children surpass where their parents reached.
As parents or guardians, we have an ordained role, aspire to inspire our children & youth at all times. Our children and youth are our future generations. The foundation we establish, cultivate, and enhance over the years becomes the beautiful landscape. The need to instill good values, morals, norms, culture, language, love, and attributes is key because our legacy lives on.
Every parent prayer is we become the greatest influence in our children lives while seeking guidance from the Bible.
When we are deeply rooted in our values and norms, our children follow our footprints 👣.
To all parents out there – To be in your children memory tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today.
